Lonely Sea And The Sky

“When I am feeling particularly landlocked, longing for the open sea and sky, this is the sort of beach I dream of. These images were taken in Cornwall, looking out across St Ives bay from Gwithian Towans. The ‘three miles of golden sand’ were empty on a wintry day, when the blues of the sky were reflected, forming patterns on the beach. We had set out to fill our lungs with Cornish air, and the sharp wind was softened by hazy sunlight. This picture reminds me that ‘I must go down to the seas again’.” – Hilary Stock
